| Description：When I was little and lived in Pingding Village, I used to take the cows outdoors to eat grass. As I did not have any container for my lunch, my mother used the leaves of Hedychium coronarium Koenig (butterfly ginger) to wrap up some rice for me. In addition, a pleasant odor emitted when my mom prepared food with certain butterfly ginger. Up to date, I still appreciate the fragrance of this type of flower. It is a perennial herbal plant and belongs to Zingiberaceae. The flower is shaped like a butterfly and it grows in damp shady outskirts. The faint delicate fragrance is refreshing. |
