Description:Datura suaveolens Humb. is an evergreen shrub, five meters high and has grayish white branches. Long leafstalk leaves are alternate and ovoid shaped with full margin. Blossoming continues from spring to fall and the drooping single flower grows from the axilla. The calyx is urceolate and tubular with five divisions at the tip. The trumpet-shaped corolla is white with five stamens, two ovaries and conical capsules. Residents of Pingding call this plant Fongyanzih and it is common in the suburbs of this region. |
