Description of Terrain:Niouchoukeng is called Wayaokeng as well. According to Mr. Su, Ting-cai, a respected old gentleman, people used to kiln tiles here. It serves to be a pass for entering the remote mountains. Tradition has it that bandits watched from a distance, plundered and hid themselves in this place, which led to a nickname of Tufeikeng. It is beside Nanyun Bridge and the water flows into Cingshuei River.
Description of Geology:The alluvial soil comprises grit and clay and color changes from dark gray, olive gray to brownish black. The soil has a high viscosity, is free of contamination and rich in organic matters like nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and magnesium silicate, which are suitable and necessary for crops.
