Description:Wusheng Temple is located near the outside road and Provincial Road Intersection to Siluo. The transportation is convenient. It worshiped Maitreya. Other gods are Guanggong, Fuyoudijun, Kitchen God, Happy Budda, Yuehuei Buddha and so on. June 24 in lunar calendar every year is the memorial ceremony. The first day and fifteenth day are the ceremony day. There are two days in a week sharing with classics and a research club to educate minds and culture. According to the manager, Jhang, Bing-Yuan said, Lin, Cing-tang (was the leader of Linnei before) established Wusheng Temple in 1971. This is the temple of I-kuan Tao. The principles are “to acknowledge one God who loves, understands, and respects all creation, to care for our brothers and sisters; to treat our neighbors with kindness; to be faithful, constant, and patient with our fellow human beings. Releasing the Spirit of I-kuan Tao will lead us to a clear understanding of the importance we play in promoting harmony throughout the universe.” |
Ceremony:Offering Ceremony of I-kuan Tao needs to kneel when people walk three steps, and to knock the earth when walking nine steps. This is the character of Jhouguang’s ceremony. Before offering, it should be to clean the lamp and temple and to grind the stove smoothly. During offerings, it follows three persons, five persons or seven persons to line up and offers by order. The participants wear formal clothes. The sacrificial offerings are tea, flowers and fruits. The numbers are five, ten, fifteen, twenty and twenty-five. Offering, the abbot designates two people to carry with offerings, 2~4 persons to stand, one to offer and follow the action person to do actions. The person who is to burn incenses do action, like bow, kneel and worship through three kneel nine knock, the Jhouguang’s ceremony and finished the offering ceremony. In the offering ceremony, the number of people needs to 3,5,7 and the number of sacrificial offerings needs to be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 are based on arrangement of Chinese original Hetou, and Loshu. The graphics of Hetou and Loshe have arrangement of Yin-Yang and mean live without stop. |
