| Description：Pineapples produced in Linnei are sold well. Mr. Huang, Kun-zhen, a professional fruit farmer in Jioucyong Village said as the climate was mild, temperature difference between day and night was great, water was plentiful and the soil was arenose, Linnei became a good place to grow pineapples. They came from a new cultivated variety, Tainong No. 17, from Chiayi Agricultural Research and Extension Station. Currently, a total plantation area in the township is over 60 hectares. A common transportation and marketing division was established by the farmers’ association of Linnei Township due to the promising future the pineapples have. |
